Hubert Theroux was raised in the rural Manitoba community of
Cardinal, where his love of the prairies was nurtured on the
family farm. His interest in art began in childhood and by age
14, he had settled on oils as his medium of choice.

As a youth, Hubert painted the landscapes
around his home, then progressed to include farm activities recalled
from his childhood. Hubert's desired to preserve the past has
led him to create the images of threshing gangs, prairie homesteads,
nearly extinct grain elevators and his children at play.

Hubert is a director of the Red River Art
& Craft Co-op, as well as the Assiniboia Group of Artists
Cooperative. He is strongly committed to the Manitoba Art Expo
as a forum for promoting Manitoba art.

Hubert's images have been published as
limited edition prints, giclées, book covers and calendars.
