“Painting is an emotional response to the world around me.
It is an exclamation that I have seen something that moved me: light cast in an
extraordinary way, amazing colours in unexpected places, or intriguing details that
are often missed in a fast, busy world. It is my attempt to celebrate and share a
beautiful moment in time."
A self-directed artist, Diana has been painting with watercolours
since 2009, developing a style characterized by detail and softness. While not being
limited to any particular subject, her work shows a good understanding of the effect of
light on different textures, and she demonstrates a particular love for glass and metallic objects.
She works out of her North Window Studio & Gallery in Morden,
MB and regularly participates in juried exhibitions in Southern Manitoba where she has
been awarded a number of Honorable Mentions and People's Choice Awards.
She is a member of the Federation of Canadian Artists, The Assiniboia
Group of Artists Cooperative and the Manitoba Society of Artists.
Diana welcomes visitors to her studio by appointment.
