Living in the Whiteshell Provincial Park area
has given Dianne more opportunity to observe and sketch wildlife
that visited her backyard or encountered on trips around the
Whiteshell area. As a trapper's wife, she spent many years in
Northern Manitoba admiring animal survival in the wild. Having
the opportunity to care for many wildlife species that were orphaned
or hurt gave her excellent opportunity to study them further.

In her paintings, Dianne displays her fascination
for nature and strives to create the excitement, peace and beauty
that she feels when observing nature. Dianne studied oil painting
at Symposium School of Art, colour mixing under Winnipeg artist
and self-taught in watercolours. She teaches workshops and sells
her artwork in Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Ontario. Many art pieces
have gone to Germany, Sweden, Norway, England and the United
States.Dianne received first in watercolours, first in Northern
Elements and Best in Show at Trappers Festival 2002.
