The artwork represents images of people, places,
animals and nature. Each painting, in its own way, speaks of
the artist's dedication to and connection with the subject matter.
Leon's love of nature is reflected in his art pieces about animals
in their environment. His human subjects are revealed while at
work, interacting and reflecting.

Leon enjoys observing people and nature,
gathering information about mood, colours and textures. These
artistic "snapshots" allow the viewer a glimpse into
their existence. Leon's paintings invite the viewer to interact
with the work and become a part of its existence.

His mediums are ceramic tiles and glazes.
The unique technique of applying glazes and firing the tiles
produces textured surfaces and enhance the artistic expression
of each art piece. His attention to detail captures the sense
of the moment and shares it with the viewer. His works grace
private art collections in Japan, United States, Germany and
Canada. His paintings in Winnipeg's City Hall courtyard tell
the story of the city and its people. Leon lives in Winnipeg
and works in his "Complex Studio Gallery".
