     Charmaine’s subject matter focuses on the figure in natural and urban environments. She studied graphic design at Red River College and was employed as an illustrator in the sportswear industry. Freelance work includes courtroom sketching, card, magazine and book illustration, tile painting and portrait and landscape commissions.

     Working primarily in acrylic and pencil, Charmaine finds inspiration in centuries of talent, including the genius of Jan Vermeer, Ivan Eyre, Lizbeth Zwerger, Alex Colville, Esther Warkov, Christiane Pflug, and three generations of the Wyeths.
