Born in 1953 in Winnipeg, Glenn knew from
an early age that he'd pursue a career in art. His childhood
passion for drawing and creativity have endured and developed
into a career that has spanned over a quarter century.

A Baby Boomer himself, he draws inspiration
for his art from his own experiences of growing up in the peaceful
postwar years in Canada. The second oldest of nine children,
he spent a lot of time drawing everything from cartoons to sports
heroes and musicians from the sixties.

Today, he admits being heavily influenced
by the detail and precision of Canadian artists like Ken Danby
and Alex Colville as well as American illustrators such as Mark
English, Paul Calle and Bernie Fuchs as well as the old master
illustrators Maxfield Parrish and Norman Rockwell.

In 1989 he became supervisor of the Winnipeg
Free Press Advertising Art department and today is the Creative
Director of the Special Projects and Marketing Department. As
an artist, Glenn is currently pursuing his own style of nostalgic
urban scenes with a decidedly contemporary feel.
